What I know …… I know what it feels like to be on top of the world in the midnight sun with my family. I also know what it is like to come face to face with a wild caribou (this happened at the same time). I definitely know what amazing summers should be like. I know what it is like to be just yards from wild grizzly bears. Or wake up in the middle of the night and see the northern lights I know what the Hawaiian Reefs look like I have seen the Volcano Kilauea erupt. I know what the heat feels like when you are sitting just feet away from lava oozing out of the crust. I know the pain from hiking a 16 mile round trip on a old lava flow and through jungles of Hawaii. I know what it is like to have a power outage in the middle of a summer storm in a old family cottage. I know what the wild blueberry fields of Michigan are like. I know what it is like to be in a retro car for 50 hours straight driving home from Michigan. I know what 130 degrees feel like in a car without air conditioning again in an old retro car. These are some of the things I know. This is what I get for having an amazing family that know what it is like to have amazing summer experiences. My family knows how to plan a summer vacation. I have been to the Arctic Circle come face to face with caribou, bears wolf, this is what I get for being with my family. I have pet a puffer fish I know what they feel like and I probably shouldn’t but I do. All these dangerous things that have happened are because my family wants them to be summers that we will never forget and I am proud of everything we have done from hiking craters of ancient volcanoes to seeing the northern lights. My Family knows how to plan a summer, my father leaves it up to one of us to decide how the summer goes one year I picked Hawaii another year my brother Daniel picked to drive cross country to Michigan. There also was the year when Daniel picked Alaska and Franky picked the Arctic Circle. We did them both. My family is very adventurous and I think that that is why we are so good at picking amazing summers with endless stories. We have the lighting/hail/thunder storm on an island that was a black cloud of mosquitoes. We have the story when we were chased off an island by an angry moose. Also the there was time where we chased moose of an island too. These stories probably make my family sound like we don’t have common sense but there are reasons for all of these. Well most of them, but these crazy stories about moose and crazy weather while camping that’s what I love and want to experience maybe not sleeping in ice water though but that night I was okay with that because I knew it was something cool to talk about when I got home.
